Group C and D Results!

I've been busy lately, so I couldn't post for a while, but I will still say the results of Groups C and D. The Ahri guide will be posted after worlds are over.

In Group C, Samsung Blue went 5-1, only losing to Fnatic once.
Second Place in group C was OMG, finishing 3-3, after a very close game with Fnatic.
Third Place went to LMQ, with a 2-4 record, and Fnatic also had a 2-4 record at the end.

Group D was another amazing group. In first place was Najin White Shield, with a 5-2 record, beating Cloud 9, who ended 4-3 in a tiebreaker. Alliance placed third with a 3-3 record, losing to Kabum E-Sports in their last game. Finally,we have Kabum, who ended 1-5.

I will try to post the Quarterfinal Results on Monday, and hopefully I can get the Ahri guide out right after worlds is over. Until then aim for Gold V!

Worlds Group A and B Results!

Such a great week of games.
Other than Dark Passage, I think every team performed well. (I feel kinda stupid now for picking the 15th seeded team to beat China's number 1, but AHQ almost did.) Now moving on to standings.
Group A:
Samsung White dominated the week with a 6-0 record, meaning they face the second place team of group B.
In second is Edward Gaming, who ended with a 4-3 record and got second by beating AHQ in a tiebreaker.
Third is AHQ, who did better than most (including myself) expected. They ended with a  3-4 record.
Finally, we have the 0-6 Dark Passage. I feel like they would've done better in Group B or C, but they did great in the wildcard tourney. Maybe next year Turkey.
Group B:
Number 1 was the 5-1 StarHorn Royal Club, China's number 2 team. They did good, but I don't think they will make it out of Quaterfinals, due to the fact that they are against EDG.
In second was TSM, with a 4-2 record finally making it out of the group stage. They performed very well, but I think they will lose to Samsung White.
Third Place was SK Gaming, with a 2-4 record. They did very good for the third place European team, and Freddy122 did amazing.
Finally we have TPA. The former world champions lack the amazing team they had in season 2, with Bebe as the only returning member. Maybe next year they can do better.
Group A is looking strong, and I feel bad for TSM, getting stuck with a Korean team (and the arguably best team) right away in the Knockout stage. StarHorn Royal Club might make it out, only because EDG is looking very weak right now in worlds. Next week I will have a similar post about groups C and D, and a Quaterfinal prediction as well. Ahri guide will be after worlds.

The UltamateDeth Worlds Predictions!

Hello everyone! Because worlds is a day from starting, I'm going to give my predictions on who is going to get out of each group stage.
Group A:
I'm saying that the big upset is in Group A. Most people believe that Edward Gaming and Samsung White will make it out, but I think that Edward Gaming will underestimate one team; Dark Passage. I believe that Dark Passage will finish in second place, only because they are very underestimated. AHQ will be in last place, and of course the Korean team Samsung White will be in first place.
Group B:
The group without Koreans is the best place for both TSM and SK Gaming, but I think that SK will finish in last. TSM can get first place in this group much easier than any of the other 3, but the other team moving on will be StarHorn Royal Club, the second seed Chinese team. TPA isn't as strong as it was in season 2, so StarHorn can get to second a lot easier.
Group C:
This group has an obvious first place; Samsung Blue. I don't think that anyone will believe that the number 1 Korean team will lose to OMG, LMQ, or Fnatic. The battle for second place is the harder one to choose. Overall, Fnatic are a strong team, and They will easily beat LMQ, and they should be able to beat a weakened OMG. The battle between OMG and LMQ will be interesting, but OMG are more experienced, and that will get them third.
Group D:
Trying not to use personal bias here (C9!!!) but I think that as long as Najin White Shield doesn't do as good as they normally do, Alliance will take first and C9 will take second, but with Najin very close behind in third. I feel bad for Kabum. They don't have a chance in this group. (Sorry Kabum fans)
I will do Predictions again when I get results for the winners. Also, there will be an Ahri guide coming out soon. Thanks for reading!

Aatrox Time!! Tips for Aatrox, and How to Counter Him (All Based on Statistics and Opinions)

Aatrox, The Darkin Blade is a great champion for the top lane, as well as a good jungler. Most poeple use him as a top lane, and i have a "guide" for Aatrox right here.
First, lets go over Aatrox's abilities:
Passive: Blood Well
Blood Well Passively increases Aatrox's attack speed by 0.6/0.7/0.8/0.9/1.0/1.1% for every 2% in the blood well. When Aatrox takes fatal damage, he becomes untargetable for 3 seconds, restoring health equal to Blood Well's contents + (10.5+(15.75 X Aatrox's level) This can be canceled after one second by moving, however, this stops the health regen.
Q: Dark Flight  600 Range  Costs 10% of Current Health  Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 Seconds
Aatrox flies into the air and lands on a targeted area, dealing 70/115/160/205/250(+60% Bonus AD) physical damage. Enemies in center of circle are knocked up for 1 second.
W: Blood Price/Blood Thirst Cooldown: 0.5 Seconds
Blood Thirst: Every third attack heals Aatrox for 20/25/30/35/40(+25% Bonus AD) but heals for 60/75/90/105/120(+75% Bonus AD) when under half health.
Blood Thirst: Every third attack does an extra 60/95/130/165/200 (+100% Bonus AD) for a cost of 15/23.75/32.5/41.25/50 (+25% Bonus AD) health.
E: Blades of Torment  1000 Range  Costs 5% of Current Health  Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8
Does 75/110/145/180/215 (+60% AP) (+ 60% Bonus AD) magic damage and slows by 40% for 1.75/2/2.25/2.5/2.75 seconds.
R: Massacre  Cooldown: 100/85/70
Does 200/300/400 (+100% AP) magic damage and gives Aatrox 40/50/60% attack speed and 175 bonus range for 12 seconds.

Top Lane Aatrox Guide (Items/Ability Oder) (I will not do Runes/Maseries, that will be based on what you want to do)
Good Top Lane Items: (My Opinion) Start Doran's Blade, 1 Health Potion, and a Trinket of your choice.
First Item: Boots (Depends on Lane Matchup)
First Big Items: Either Ravenous Hydra or Blade of the Ruined King
Depending on if you want to get more attack speed or attack damage, that's what your first main item should be. Both have active effects, and they are fairly decent.
Second Main Item: Bloodthirster
Not needed on Aatrox, but is very annoying to deal with, because it gives him more life steal, which makes him harder to 1v1.
Third Main Item: Trinity Force
As you can see by the above stats, Aatrox does use some Ability Power, so it could be a item that gives a bit more damage on his E and his Ult.
Fourth Main Item: Either Blade of the Ruined King or Ravenous Hydra
Basically choose the one you didn't choose for your first item.
Fifth Item: Randuin's Omen or Banshee's Veil
Depends on the opposing team's best member, both help make you a bit tankier and harder to kill
Sixth Item: Banshee's Veil or Randuin's Omen
Also whatever you didn't choose for item five
If you replace boots, build Guardian Angel, now you have 2 revives, making you harder to kill.
Ability Order:
Start with, and Max E first. At level 2, get your W, but Max W last. At level 4, get Q, and Max it Second. As with all Champions, Level your Ult at 6, 13, and 16.

Jungle Aatrox Guide (Items/Ability Order)
Good Jungle Items: (My Opinion) Start Hunter's Machete, 4 Health Potions, and a Warding Totem
First Item: Either Wriggle's Lantern or Spirit of the Elder Lizard
Wriggle's helps give attack speed, which is very good on Aatrox, but Elder Lizard applies red buff effect.
Second Item: Blade of the Ruined King
Such a great item on Aatrox in my opinion, and even though the Attack Damage isn't the greatest (25) it gives a nice active and a good attack speed boost.
Third Item: Randuin's Omen or Black Cleaver
The rest of the build depends on if you want to go tank or AD. Black Cleaver still gives a bot of health to make you a bit tankier, but not as much of a boost as Randuin's
Fourth Item: Banshee's Veil or Maw of Malmatorus
Another time where it depends on what type of build you are going for. If going tank, build Sporit Visage, but if going damage, use Maw of Malmatorus.
Fifth Item: Sunfire Cape or Randuin's Omen
Build Randuin's Only if you didn't build it before. If you did, that means your becoming a tank with a revive for a passive. If you didn't build Randuin's before, now you can do damage and be harder to kill.
Sixth Item: Spirit Visage or Banshee's Veil
In my opinion, Banshee's Veil is better than Spirit Visage. That is why you should either have it already built, or be building it last. Just like Sunfire Cape, you should only build Spirit Visage when you have Banshee's already built.
Ability Order:
Start With W, but Max it Last. Then get Q or E, depending on how well your lanes are doing (Q is for an easier gank, E for jungle clear) At level three put 1 point in either E of Q depending on which one you didn't take at level 2. Just like top lane Aatrox, max E first, then Q, and put points in your ult at 6,13,16.

Aatrox Counters (Top Lane) (I feel like for jungle Aatrox, just be careful about the same tips for what Aatrox is weak to.) (Remember, Experience is the best factor for countering a champion. Always pick someone you are comfortable with. For example, My very first Annie game was against a Katarina. I chose Annie because i knew that Stuns countered Katarina's ult. I proceeded to do terrible, but I did steal Baron with a Flash-Tibbers, died, then we lost the game)
Champions that Aatrox is weak to:
Jax:
Jax counters many Champions, but that might be because he has a great combo with his E-W-Q combo, where he jumps on you and stuns you, then auto attack you and kills you. (Slight Exaggeration) Aatrox, like most Auto-Attacking champions are weak to Hard CC (Stuns, Suppression, etc.) Slows/Silences don't do much to Aatrox, becuase they won't stop Auto-Attacks) Jax is not as popular in the LCS, but he has been banned almost every game I've played, and picked when not banned.
Fiora:
Not sure how Fiora will do after the Kit Rework she is getting, (Which basically gets rid of her ult, and gives her a Quinn flip) but until then she does beat Aatrox. Her current Ult is amazing, making herself untargetable and she will basically win every 1v1. She can pop your passive easily, and she also possesses a W that ruins Aatrox. Fiora's W gives her extra AD (Passive Effect) and the active Parries the next basic attack. A Parry blocks all damage from a basic attack, but not the CC the attack provides. Fiora's W would basically block the damage from the attack, then does 60/110/210/260 (+100% AP) damage. That could easily defeat Aatrox in a duel, because it would his main source of damage: An Auto-Attack.
Pantheon:
Pantheon has Hard CC, a stun. However, Pantheon isn't as hard of a counter as Jax/Fiora, but he can harass with Q, and stun when your trying to Auto-Attack, then do most of his damage.
Renekton:
Renekton is a lane-bully. He has probably the strongest level 3 in the game, with his W-Slice-Attack-Q-Dice. (E-W-Q-E) Renekton is very hard to lane against for most champions, so play passively, and then go aggressive when your jungler comes. His stun will make it hard to 1v1 him, and his ult will make it hard to take him down.
Teemo:
A good Teemo player will ruin a Aatrox player's day. His blind takes away most of your damage, and like Renekton, Teemo is a lane-bully, but with Range and a Blind, which makes Auto-Attacks miss. Plus, Teemo. Enough said.
Riven:
Riven has displacements, stuns, and a dash to escape your attacks. Riven is a very hard match up for Aatrox, so try to avoid it at all times. Both Riven and Aatrox get extra attack range with their ults, but Riven will be able to "chase" you with her's
Champions that Aatrox is Strong Against:
Shen:
Lets be honest, would anyone want to taunt an Aatrox? Shen overall is very passive. Aatrox is very aggressive. This is not good for Shen.
Dr. Mundo:
Mundo is just a tank. He will get hard to 1v1 in the late game. In lane phase, abuse him for he is easy-ish to kill pre 6. Also, if you run ignite, it will hurt his ult severely.
Olaf:
Olaf's ult will not harm Aatrox, for his kit doesn't have much CC (It only blocks the knockup/slow) You can just Attack him down, and his ult becomes useless.
Vladimir:
I've seen this matchup before. It makes me feel bad for both players. He has a lot of sustain, but so does Aatrox. It is all based on who is a better player, and who decided to run ignite. This matchup can honestly go either way, and getting your jungler to help will give you a lead.
Other General Counters:
Ignite - Stops the healing from your passive and life steal, which is Aatrox's main source of sustain and dueling strength.
Barrier - Not as much of a counter as ignite, but it helps to keep you alive longer.
Attack Speed Slows - This makes it take longer for Aatrox's W to get its third attack. This will ruin some of his sustain and his "burst" damage. Examples of these are Frozen Heart, Warden's Mail, etc.
Armor - Not a hard counter, its just good to build against Aatrox. It will just make him do a little less damage.
Hard CC - This is a good counter to Aatrox. Stuns, for example, are amazing against Aatrox, because they will shut down his damage for a little while.
Heal Reduction - Basically, other sources of grievous wounds, like Morellonomicon, Tristana's "Explosive Shot" etc.
Sorry again for not posting this on a weekend. It took way more time then I expected. I will have to work on these earlier from now on. :)

What is Coming Soon

Sorry about not posting on the weekend. I got caught up in my first 10 ranked games. I ended up winning 6 of them. I used Evelynn, (0-1) Morgana, (1-1) Alistar, (1-1) Kayle, (2-1) Ahri, (1-0) and Lee Sin. (1-0) If you want to duo with me, I am Siver II, and I will not play with people in Gold V or higher (for lack of skill on my end.)
I will be posting a full Aatrox "Guide" that explains How to counter and goes through his abilities, and that should be posted soon. This will most likely be one of my only Monday posts, so still expect the weekend posts. (This time I will post this weekend) I'm also adding a LCS "category" for the people that love to watch, and want a quick list of results. With worlds coming up, I will try to cover the results of each Group Stage match, and Hopefully a NA team will get the Summoner's Cup this year. (Preferably C9 or TSM)
